Have a heart! Colin Farrell's performance in In Bruges should be enough to get him off anyone's shit list.
To be honest, in the comment I left on the Nerve site I did wonder whether they'd left him off because he'd done a few things worth watching recently.
And, of course, directors such as Mann, Malick, Stone, Spielberg and Gilliam have employed him so it may just be me who is missing out on something.
Maybe Spielberg isn't the best of examples - he has a thing for Shia LaBeouf which clearly shows that his judgement is clouded these days. The ending to War of the Worlds and the latest Indiana Jones seem to confirm that theory.
Farrell, to me, is a complete non-entity, meaning that he leaves neither a negative, nor a positive impression in my book. Now Jack Black on the other hand .....
