Don't Call It A Comeback

I've missed so many of these due to Holidays, sickness and just being too busy (or lazy). So here's a whole bunch:

77: Part A - someone you wish would sing a duet with Part B

Warren Zevon

78: Part B - someone you wish would sing a duet with Part A

Jill Sobule. They did a live version of "Jackson" on a bootleg I heard and I wouldn't mind hearing some more like that.

79. A song that makes you think of the color blue:

Blue (Da Ba Dee) - Eiffel 65

How could it not?

80: Your favorite band beginning with the letter A

Athlete, if only for the fact they made the least hip-hop song ever about their love of hip-hop.

81: A song you like with Monday in the title:

Stormy Monday, this Isaac Hayes version is a little over done, but cool.

82: A song you would dedicate to the boy/girl you have a crush on:

Perfect Woman, as I do at most gigs

83: A song you would/have dance(d) with a parent to, at your wedding:

Play That Funky Music

84: A song that you like that's in a language you don't know:

Jacques Brel - Au Suivant

85: A song that you always put on a new mixed CD you make for everyone:

Dancing In A Lesbian Bar

86: A song that you like by a band you suspect is going to break up:

Huh?

87: A song you play when someone breaks up with you:

Lyle Lovett - Good Intentions

"It's a Fact of life no one cares to mention, she wasn't good but she had good intentions"

88: A song that you like that's from a different culture:

Fela Kuti - Water Get No Enemy

89: A song that you love to work-out to:

Weather Girls - It's Raining Men

Doesn't everyone?

90: A song that describes your work angst:

Little Village - Don't Bug Me When I'm Working

91: A song you like to sing to babies:

I'm not sure I've ever sung anything to a baby.

92: A song you play when you can't sleep:

LCD Soundsystem - I'm Never As Tired As When I'm Waking Up

93: A song you play when you break someone's heart:

Ice Cube - Wrong Nigga To Fuck Wit

Because, yes, I'm an Office Space cliché.

94: Your favorite song that features the use of a harmonica:

Charlie Musselwhite - Christo Redemptor

95: Your favorite song that starts with the letter "B"

George Thorogood - Bad To The Bone

96: A song that makes you think about stars and the universe:

Flaming Lips - Do You Realize

If I'm being startlingly literal, certainly.

97: Your favorite classical song:

I don't have one. Sure I could say Ride of the Valkyries, or What's Opera, Doc? but I'd be cheating...

98: Your favorite song that you remember from a kid's show:

I think I mentioned before I have a soft spot for the Roobarb and Custard theme tune.

99: A song that you like in part, because the title is so good:

Moribund the Burgermeister - Peter Gabriel

100: A song from the last CD mix you made someone:

Well, I put a bunch of stuff on a CD to test Andrea's car radio, but all I had was Drive-By Truckers and members live things and off cuts. I think it did have a live version of Try by Jason Isbell on it, though and it is one of my favourite songs.

101: A song from a singer that your friends have met, and that makes you jealous:

Why would I be jealous?

102: A song by a female singer you think does not have a very good voice:

There's probably plenty, but I don't listen to any regularly. Though I suppoes I could make a Yoko Ono joke here, or something.

103: Your favorite Disney movie song:

The Wonderful thing About Tiggers

104: A song that reminds you of the ocean:

Men At Work - Down By the Sea

Sea, ocean, it's all the same right? That and those cymbal sounds.

105: A song that reminds you of something you regret:

Ned Sublette - Feelin' No Pain

Nothing in particular, I just used to drink a lot, still probably drink a bit too much, but this was also the semi-ironic soundtrack to many of the sessions.

106: A song you have to change right away if it comes on the radio:

Too many years listening to Austrian radio has numbed me to bad songs I might normally tune away from.
